Correction of lower lid ectropion without skin graft (procedure code C1512),
with skin graft (procedure code C1513)

Ectropion can be addressed with a number of simple treatment options. Artificial tears, or ointments that lubricate the eye, can provide temporary relief for discomfort. A more long-term treatment option is to have a minor, in-office procedure performed by an eye surgeon, to tighten the eyelid, and restore it to its normal position.

This procedure allows the eyelids to once again protect the eye, and regain their healthy appearance. Soon afterward, the discomfort of Ectropion should subside, and the need for artificial tears and lubricating ointments, is virtually eliminated.
